He seemed so happy when someone called out from the audience, then the fear set in fast when "that" came on the stage

They should've learned by now that not every audience member looks like what they are saying.
Like blokes in shorts saying a car is cool, or that one guy with the ears saying the pink citroen was cool.
"I know girls who like that sort of thing", he explained. Followed by Clarkson's remark: "I know girls.... is the interesting part"

Nothing beats "Jesus" making appearances in the studio over the years, hehe, ooh oh the young lady who got all excited when Mark Whalberg was there and told the world she had a brazilian.
He really shouldn't take the piss out of people's choice of there look really

Yeah, I always like the quick-wittedness of Clarkson. But I guess he's just heard all of those remarks directed to him over the years, and now re-uses those memories.
I think that's part of the reason he gets away with it though. It's hard for a Caucasion person to make racist jokes/remarks and get away with it, but for someone like Omid Jalili it's a lot easier.

Lewis Top Gear appearance cancelled by the weather!
Friday, 24 July 2009
Following his appearance on BBC's Top Gear in the UK in November 2007, Lewis was scheduled to return to driver's seat of the legendary ‘reasonably priced car' next Wednesday, 29th July. On his first visit Lewis came tantalizingly close to topping the Formula 1 drivers' leader board as on a wet and greasy track, he only narrowly missed out on beating the fastest time of 1m 44.6s, set by 1992 World Champion, Nigel Mansell on a dry track.
With the less than glorious British summer promising more rain next week, the Top Gear production team took the decision to postpone Lewis's appearance, with the BBC wanting Lewis to do a dry lap to show what he could really do with the ‘reasonably priced car'! Unfortunately, next Wednesday is the last day of filming prior to the end of the current series of the show.
On hearing the news out in Hungary, Lewis said "I'm totally gutted, I was really looking forward to getting back out on the track, but Top Gear felt the chance of rain was too great and have rescheduled me for another show. It is a huge shame and completely out of my control. I am sorry if any of the fans and viewers were looking forward to it. I am not sure how we will find a date that works with the Top Gear filming schedule that will not be affected by the great British weather, but I will do everything I can to get back there either in the winter filming season or next year. I think everyone wants to see a dry lap rather than another wet one, so fingers crossed we can make it happen in the not too distant future."

Didn't he equal Buttons time, driving on the wet and oil spilled track ?
If he goes back he'll thrash his new team mates time, which will just make him want to go back too
I dread to think what Button would be like if went back on there now, last time he was on TG he had never even won a single race yet and i thought he came across as a bit of a cocky douche.

Where do I get that V6 from the Stratos for 600 quid? If only it would fit into my corsa.
I think I had some fizzing sensations when it went around (and around and around) the track

The Stratos lap was great, loving the sound of that thing
I wanted to see how the Balboni would've compared to the other Gallardos around the track too though.
When he said, "would you drive a car I built?" it got me thinking, I wonder what happened to the Caterham that the three of them built a few seasons back....

I missed the start of the show, so I have something to look forward to tonight
Yeah, I meant the sound of the Stratos as well
As for the looks of the car, I've never been much of a fan. It looks too much like a Tonka Toy to me for some reason. With all the rally decals it looks better, perhaps because you see less of the car that way
My mind went to the Caterham as well, when he said that about a car he would have built. Perhaps I would buy it, but not to drive. A car built by the Top Gear presenters (how shabby it might be) could hold some value as a memento someday when the show stops.
Now I say when the show stops, rather than if. Sooner or later their age will catch up to them, I for one wouldn't like to see three demented 80 year old geezers talking about cars they can't see anymore.
I realised that the show couldn't go on forever a few days ago when I was watching an old episode (the first one that James May cohosted). James still had a fight in him back then, nowadays he's got more of a victim role or that of comic relief.

There's a video on youtube but I got bored trying to find it again
of a much younger James May reviewing a car on what must be him making an appearance on the "old" top gear.

Show Content Spoiler - Don't Moan At Me Just Dont Read It If You Don't Want To Know.
Do you think some manafacturers just don't want them putting there cars round the track anymore for whatever reasons ?
First it took 2 years for them to get permission for the Veyron, then the Vantage V12 from the last show of last season, now the California, the Balboni and the Aston DBS
I got bored, it's a long read and very badly formatted, but HERE is a rant from the maker of that Hawk Stratos Kit Car after the show. Quite what he expected I don't know, they were trying to prove that even though lancias are unreliable and hit and miss we all still love 'em, and that wasn't even a real one lol.
The guy who built it was there at the filming too but didn't want to be on the TV. Methinks he's just a bit bitter. LOL. Saying he has no respect for the show, why would he agree / bother to trek down from Scotland to give them a car that he has a 1001 excuses about lol, and then moan that they didn't mention on air that the engine blew up as well during the test

So, that’s what you’ve got coming up on Sunday at the all-new time of 8:30pm. Unless you’re one of those people overseas who nicks it off a download site for free; then you can watch it at whatever time you please. Just remember that the current licence fee is £142.50 and that your cheque for this amount should be sent to the usual Top Gear address.
